The fifth set of TDD300 XPS use single screw cooling extruder launching
Feb-03-2012
After successfully launched four sets of TDS95-TDD300 superctritical CO2 foam XPS production line worldwide, the fifth set is in processing. This TDD300 cooling extruder will join with TDS95 twin screw extruder as primary extruder whose function is mixing all ingredients in homogeneous. The better mixing capability, the higher CO2 solubility in polystyrene. The output of this line is more than 1000kg/hr. We will deliver this line to the biggest XPS supplier in North China in February.
We improved cooling efficiency on the fifth set of TDD300 by changing cooling channels and cooling method. This improvement is able to help increase heat exchange capacity and get more stable temperature deviation. We also improved the screw profile so that it allows lower temperature extrusion. All these improvements will help polystyrene encapsulating CO2 better.
